So the interview was done over zoom/teams because of the pandemic. The manager and APN from the unit interviewed me. They started by asking why I was interested in cancer care, then asked about my qualifications, some common issues with cancer patients, a time I managed conflict, and an infection control question, plus my stance on MAID.

I was called in for an interview as an internal candidate for a Registered Nurse Cardiology position, and it seemed to go okay. At the end, they mentioned a "cardiology quiz" would be sent to me, but it never was that day. After a few days with no response, I followed up with the APN in person. The APN explained that they don't usually do online quizzes, which is why it wasn't sent, a detail that wasn't communicated during the initial interview. They asked when I'd be ready to take it, and I said I'd do it on my next shift. On my next shift, I emailed to say I wanted to take the quiz around noon. The APN agreed to meet me at the nursing station, but didn't show up at the scheduled time. I called a couple of times with no answer, and finally connected around 12:30 PM. Apologies were made, and I let it go. However, the APN hadn't booked a room for me to take the test, so I had to use a small, distracting room on the unit with an unstable table and lights that kept shutting off. The quiz itself was challenging, with many ECG questions requiring analysis within a one-hour limit. I felt it was difficult for a new grad nurse with no ICU or cardiology experience and no CC1 course completion, questioning the expectation to interpret numerous ECG strips without prior training. I didn't finish the entire quiz and submitted what I had. When I asked about hearing back, the APN said it would be after they and the manager marked it. I suspected I wouldn't hear anything if I didn't follow up the following week, so I did. I was informed that I was unsuccessful. Honestly, given the poor treatment throughout the process, I felt it might be a blessing in disguise. I would not recommend this place. I suggest the APN treat people better and without bias. I've decided not to apply here again.
