ECommerce Manager
The interview process was very straightforward. They were communicative until a negotiation on a job offer. It seemed like they didn't want to negotiate.
- Can you tell us about your background?
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
I applied through Indeed and they messaged me the same day to set up an interview via email. I didn't hear back for two days, then went in the next day. The lobby was empty for 5-10 minutes before someone acknowledged me. The interviewer seemed annoyed I was early and made a comment about our meeting time. I filled out an application and had a standard interview, though the interviewer was awkward and stared. They told me about the responsibilities and the importance of being on time, which was funny since they were annoyed at my punctuality. They mentioned needing help but said they'd decide next week. The office seemed boring, depressing, quiet, and unhappy, explaining the many job postings. I don't think I'll get an offer and it's okay; it wasn't the right fit, and the location was interesting.
- How would you handle a displeased customer?
Executive Assistant
I found the job on Indeed and applied. I got a call for an interview within a week. They emailed me to confirm the interview details. When I arrived, I filled out an application form. I was interviewed by the CEO right on time, and they offered me the job that same day after answering all my questions.
- What prompted you to seek a new position away from your present workplace?
- Could you elaborate on the specifics of your present role?
Production Artist
I applied online through Indeed. The job was listed as Graphic Design, which I didn't have direct experience in, but I applied anyway. I got a call back less than an hour later to schedule an interview for the next day. When I arrived, the receptionist gave me some paperwork, and then two people interviewed me: the Art Director and an HR representative. They asked me about my portfolio and skills, including the software and computer types I've used. Then, they gave me a Photoshop test where I had to clean up an image. My speed on the test impressed the Art Director. They thanked me and called me back before I even left the building. I was hired on the spot. Even though I was new to the business's subject matter, this job has been a great fit, and the company has helped me develop my skills. I now handle social media, podcast work, video effects, and surprisingly, graphic and logo design. It's an intense environment, but it rewards hard work.
- What prompted you to leave your last role?
- Can you explain your previous job experience and your relevant skills?
- Which software applications have you utilized previously?
