It began with an HR screening, followed by three more interviews with various hiring managers and team members. I received a good offer and accepted it. Next, I was instructed to complete a background check and drug test, which I did without any problems, and I received copies of both. However, five days before my start date, HR contacted me to say the position was no longer available and they decided not to hire anyone.

I was first reached out by an HR recruiter via Linkedin after applying. Then there were 3 interviews with different related IT managers and a final one with the hiring manager. All interviews were video conferences, lasting between 30 to 60 minutes. The process with the HR Recruiter was PERFECT, she was very helpful and gave me all the info I needed for the manager interviews. Talking with all managers was EXCELENT, very professional, straight to the point, and super interesting. I'd say they were professional conversations, not just a Q/A session.

I applied for a Tax Credit Analyst position in Houston. The interview went well, and the recruiter said she would inform me about the next steps the following week. However, the next day, she asked about scheduling another interview for the Regional Energy Advisor - Retail role. I replied with time and date confirmation then when I inquired about the title, she replied, "I am not sure why it is stating the Regional Energy Advisor position. I have you placed in the Investment Tax Credit Analyst position only." And that was all- ghosted. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company and its recruiters. Besides the bad company reviews, they will forget about you and the role you interviewed for, wasting your time.

I applied and got an email for a phone screening a few days later. It was a Teams call with basic HR and work experience questions. A couple days later, I got another email to schedule the next interview, also a Teams call. The interviewer explained the role and then asked some questions. One was about my career path. I said I wanted to stay in QA but was open to BA, and they misunderstood, thinking my main goal was BA. They had reservations about hiring me because they felt I'd leave in a year. They asked why I was applying for QA roles, and I tried to explain but kept getting cut off. It was disappointing and a red flag. Surprisingly, I didn't get the job.
