Medical Assistant
The interview process was pretty easy. someone will reach out to you via phone and ask a few screening questions, depending on how that go they will set up an in person interview.
- Tell me about a time you had to resolve a conflict.
Medical Assistant
I got referred by a friend for this job. The interview process included one chat with the office manager and then a higher-up manager. It was direct and straightforward. The day after the first interview, I had to come back for a working interview.
- What are your thoughts on working closely with patients?
Medical Assistant
This was honestly the worst interview experience I've ever had. The phone interview seemed to go super well, which made me feel really optimistic about the in-person one. But, the in-person interview was just awful. They made me feel so discouraged about my career goals. What's weird is that during the phone screen, they were all about how experience isn't a big deal and how they love hiring students and want to train them. But then, in the in-person interview, which lasted over an hour, they spent most of the time putting me down because I don't have experience. They didn't even seem prepared. One of the interviewers actually told me she hadn't even looked at my resume. She made me wait over 20 minutes for her, and honestly, I wouldn't have minded waiting an extra 5 minutes if it meant she'd be more ready for our chat. They also kept giving me conflicting information about the job. The person I spoke to on the phone said I wouldn't need to travel and that a medical assistant cert wasn't required, but that I could get one if I wanted. However, in the in-person interview, they said traveling to different offices was mandatory and that I'd need the cert within a certain timeframe. The questions they asked were also pretty basic. It was just a super unprofessional and terrible experience. I actually ended up crying in my car afterwards because I felt so defeated about pursuing my goals. No one should feel that way after an interview. If someone isn't a good fit, don't waste their time, and definitely don't discourage them from chasing their dreams.
- Can you tell me about your previous job experience?
