I applied online and after about a month, they flew me down for a 2-day interview process. A month went by and I hadn't heard back, so I had accepted another job offer. I really wanted this one though. When I followed up for an update, I finally found out that the position I interviewed for was frozen and they weren't going to make an offer. I knew they had another news reporter opening, so I asked if they could consider me for that. They said they needed more time to decide, basically wanting to keep their options open. The whole thing felt really unprofessional. If I hadn't pushed them, they were never going to tell me that the job I interviewed for (and that they paid for my flight and a beachfront hotel for) was going to be unfilled.

I was asked to come in for an interview. Then, a week later, I had to go back to meet and interview with the managing editor. She offered me the job, but the pay wasn't great, so I asked for a few days to consider. After two days, I called back and accepted. I was then told that the position needed to be officially open with HR. Three weeks later, they contacted me and wanted me to start right away.

I interviewed with 3 people: the recruiter, the hiring manager, and the hiring manager's superior. It took about 3 weeks to hear back after the recruiter interview. The interviews were pretty easy if you have any sales experience. Because it's an entry-level job for a new department, the interviewers mentioned that the job would be very flexible and the role might evolve.

Behavioral Case

The interview was a bit challenging with situational questions that would have you thinking it through on how to answer them. But overall it was not bad. I interviewed here with 4 different people, and each of them were different, 2 were easy and 2 were difficult. They fire a few questions but also allow a comfortable environment for open communication.
