The interview experience was better than I ever imagined. The conversation went like this: Introduction, explanation of the position's tasks, English language skills assessment, and working conditions. You need to stay relatively relaxed because they also assess your personal fit with the team.

Started with some emails asking a few basic questions about pay, years of experience, how much front end web dev I do, experience with certain tools, and Web API/restful experience. Then a week later had a phone call with 2 people which went really well, and they wanted to move forward with a code presentation, but that's where it ended because I couldn't present code (no personal project and company code is NDA).

The issue discussed is whether job satisfaction is more important than salary. Many people believe a high salary leads to satisfaction due to affording living costs, but life is short and shouldn't be spent solely earning money without satisfaction. Some agree with this, noting salary is a monthly payment while job satisfaction brings daily happiness. Ideally, a balance is needed, but job satisfaction is certainly more crucial. An example is journalists, who may not earn much but find purpose in their work rather than wealth. Conversely, others argue salary is paramount. The primary motivator for many is a large paycheck, seeing high income as a driver to earn more, which provides mental satisfaction. Many people also need salary to support their families with basic necessities.

I knew someone at the company, so I did an interview by phone and then had a conference call with the hiring manager later. I did end up having a final interview, which was done in person. A lot of people came in to meet me for the formal final interview.
