The overall experience was a positive one, and I was approached after the interview process with feedback and the end results. My experience consisted of 5 stages: 1. Initial Screening - The talent acquisition team was really friendly and gives you an understanding of the business, and high level information of the position. 2. Interview with manager - Simple interview talking more in-depth about your experience, understanding the team, what the role is, and what can you (hopefully) bring to the team. 3. Technical interview - Self-explanatory. Could've been one interview alongside the manager since I felt sort of repeating the same answers. 4. Team interview - This was with members of the same team but different tribes. The structure of the interview was the same. If the type of questions are similar to the ones in 2 & 3, you become comfortable with your answers and assume that's what they are looking for. I did not appreciate the comment 'now is your time to grill us' when it was my time to ask the questions. To diversify, it would've been better to do a case study/project on the spot to see the candidate 'modus operandi' because at this point everything is based of examples. 5. Bar Raiser - Part of the Amazon interview process. I did enjoy this interview since it was relaxed, conversational, and gives you an idea of the business. Sadly I did not get the role with the feedback being that I did not diversify my answers, but how can you diversify them when the questions were the same? If you got 2-3 projects that you are proud to have delivered in the last 12 months, you will use them as an example. If the interviewer is not satisfied with the answer, that shows a lack of experience in carrying interviews or should have asked for further explanations/example when prompted by the interviewee if they had any reservations at that stage.

I had a phone interview that seemed to go well. Then I had another interview with a different department manager, and they seemed really excited about my candidacy. After I sent thank-you notes and asked about next steps, I never heard back. I followed up several times over a month, but got no response. They didn't even send a decline email. It was pretty unprofessional.

The process was smooth and diligent. Scheduling and rescheduling rounds were not a problem. All interviewers sounded professional, which is expected from the EU region. You'll never find a peer unaware of what queries you might have.
