I had a first interview with the hiring manager and it seemed like everything was going perfectly. At that point, they moved me to another stage to interview with someone from the team (according to their website, it's so the candidate can ask questions about the day-to-day). The interview consisted of personal questions like hobbies, and they also gave me good feedback. Then I got an email saying I hadn't been selected, and when I asked the manager, she told me it was because there was another candidate who fit the team culture better. My observation is that I am more than qualified to perform the role, and I don't see how they can determine that I don't fit the team based on an interview conducted by a junior employee who has no experience conducting interviews, during which only personal questions were asked.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was tiring, repetitive, and demotivating. I spent hours waiting for a new interviewer. I felt there was a lack of organization. I went through all the stages and received feedback from the recruiting company: You have vast experience, but your customer service and standards are [implied: not what we're looking for].

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The first interview was on Skype, where they asked me general questions about the company, the product, and my background. Then, I had a second interview with a Team Leader at their office. This involved similar questions and a practical task where I had to write an email to a customer. Even though I thought I did well, I didn't get the job. The TL mentioned they were looking for someone who fit the team's personality better. It felt strange because a colleague with similar experience got the job, suggesting my personality wasn't the right fit for the TL. The office itself is nice, but the salary for a full-time CS role, working Saturdays, is only 2000 euros, and bonuses are really hard to get. You have to excel in every aspect of the job to even be considered for one. The TL also confirmed that while they offer German classes, the last session was three months ago, which was a bit of a letdown.
