First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SummitStone Health Partners.
Behavioral Health Clinician
It was a really smooth process. They reached out the same day I applied and set up an interview for the following week. Even though it was during the holidays, I got the call offering me the job within a week after interviewing. Overall, a great experience!
- Describe your approach to collaborating with other members of the treatment team.
Finance Manager
An external recruiter contacted me about the Finance Manager position. I'd seen it was open for a while. I asked the recruiter and her boss about this, and they said the role was new and they were seeking a remote candidate. After I spoke with both recruiters, my profile was sent over. SummitStone then scheduled an interview. On the interview day, I saw SummitStone posted the same job but for local candidates on LinkedIn. I contacted the recruiter to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. They assured me my concerns were unfounded. I went ahead with two interview rounds, and the hiring manager seemed happy. The Senior Manager expressed doubts because I didn't answer a question the way she expected. Insight contacted me on May 25th to discuss feedback and schedule a call. I asked directly, and they told me SummitStone hired a local candidate. My main issue is that I made it clear I wasn't relocating to CO at any point, with both the recruiter and SummitStone. It feels dishonest to have a candidate go through a lengthy process when the outcome was likely already decided.
- Can you share an instance where you addressed a significant organizational challenge from a broader perspective?
Grants Administrator
I had a first round interview that went well, and Summitstone called to schedule a second round interview, and emailed. I responded to the email request, and did not hear back. After two days, I recontacted the sender to make sure I hadn't missed her response, and they told me they decided on another candidate. It stuck me as a little disorganized, and odd not to respond at all after contacting me to schedule.
- Can you tell me about your experience with grant management programs?
- How do you approach working on a remote team?
- What strategies do you use for building rapport in a remote setting?
Therapist
I got a call for an interview about a month after I sent in my application, and then I had my in-person interview the week after that. They called me with an offer about a week after my interview. It was just me and the manager for the interview, and they asked me about my past experiences and used some behavioral questions.
- Tell me about the most fulfilling client interaction you've had.
- Can you share an instance where you faced an ethical dilemma and how you navigated it?
- Recount a situation involving conflict with a colleague.
