It was a one on one interview with the director. The whole process only took about 20 minutes as the director seemed so rushed. I did not meet with anyone else including any of the other staff members.

The interview was difficult because it was right after Hurricane Sandy and the power kept going out. We moved to a conference room with windows so we could use the daylight to finish the interview, meaning the interviewers didn't have their usual materials.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was an open house. It was welcoming, easy interview. Asked basic nursing questions. Interviewed by the director of human resources first. The director of human resources gave us a tour. Once we were done, I was interviewed by the nurse manager. It wasn't much of an interview but more of a conversation. Very informal. The open house was geared more for nurses with mental health experience. They rarely hire new grad nurses a nurse manager told me. The interview didn't last then 15 minutes with the human resource and the nurse manager. No situational questions. All behavioral questions. I left my resume and my information. I called a week later to follow up with director of HR. He never responded back.

I had a Zoom interview on the same day with the HR manager and the nurse manager. It lasted about 1 hour and 10 minutes. The HR manager interviewed me first, followed by the nurse manager from the unit I'm interested in.
