First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Summit Broadband.
NOC Technician
They reached out to me and we set up an in-person interview within two weeks of the initial contact. I had one interview and then a background check before they hired me.
- Can you describe your experience with VLAN trunking and how you would add VLANs to a trunk link?
Customer Service Representative
You'll first have a phone chat, and then you'll come in for a face-to-face interview. During the process, they'll go over the company and what the job is all about.
- Can you tell me about your skills?
- What's your previous job history?
- When are you available to work?
Contract Administrator
I interviewed with the VP for the role. The interview went well. The next day, I was called in for a second interview with COO Lipford. He was unprofessional and dressed casually while I was instructed to wear a suit. His interview, conducted in his office with elevator music, focused on the company's history. He mentioned this interview was just to confirm the hiring decision made by the initial interviewer and asked about my availability to start. I told him two weeks, then said I could start sooner. I thought I had the job. However, I didn't hear back after unanswered emails and calls. I called three weeks later and found out the position was filled by someone else.
- The interviewer inquired about recent weight loss.
Tech Support
It was pretty chill. Peggy and Hussein interviewed me. The problem was the place wasn't marked well and was hard to find, and then the people working there acted like it shouldn't be any trouble finding them. I was 20 minutes late, and that might have messed things up. Somehow that was too much for them, even though I explained that the streets are numbered out of order. At the end of the day, I got the impression this place is for people who don't have high expectations. It's just another fast-food call center with no benefits and a break room that's basically a closet. After I got an automated rejection email, I asked myself "Why am I wasting my time with these call center jobs when what I really want is a full-time database administrator position?"
- If a customer called because their internet stopped working, what would you do?
- Hussein asked me about my prior work experience in a technical setting.
