Had a formal interview with the hiring manager and HR. The whole process took about 3 weeks to complete, and their office is conveniently located near public transport. I also had an interview with the Japanese boss.

After an intro and discussing your job experience, you'll need to fill out info accurately for a background check, which happens before hiring. The whole process is over a week, with two interviews with the head of department and deputy president, then an HR interview.

This was prob the worst interview experience ever. The interviewers weren't very professional and asked stuff unrelated to the job. I knew it was a waste of time when the hiring manager didn't even know who he was interviewing. Then in the room, 2 other interviewers didn't even introduce themselves or shake hands. There was awkward silence 'cause they didn't read my CV. They looked disgusted while reading my CV and certificates, which was rude. Throughout the interview, their phones kept going off, and one was looking at social media while I was talking. The questions were the worst, only 20-30% were job/behavioral related. The rest were unprofessional and invasive, asking about my parents' jobs, how much I give them, if I'm attached, how I met my partner, what my partner does, insulting ex-colleagues, whether I drink/smoke/club, my religion, etc. One interviewer even assumed I had health problems because I'm slim and said, 'Are you sure you don't have any health problems? You look underweight and seem to fall sick easily.' I think this was a one-off, given positive reviews and meeting polite employees. Hope others have a better experience.
