First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems.
Production Engineer
The interview process was pretty easy to go through, they were good communicators, and I could schedule it whenever worked for me, so it was a really smooth experience. The interviewers were nice and didn't waste my time, which made the whole thing not stressful at all. It was better than I thought it would be.
- Can you tell me what you know about our company?
Intern
The hiring process was super quick and smooth with excellent communication throughout. They were flexible, and the whole experience was great. The actual interview was really laid-back and featured fair questions. I'd definitely recommend applying here and working at this company.
- What are your expectations for this internship role?
Engineer
Before you walk in for your first interview, you should already know what the salary is for the position you’re applying to. Check out websites such as Glassdoor, Fishbowl, or Vault.com for salary information. You could also ask people in the field by reaching out to your community on LinkedIn. Employers will always ask this question because every position is budgeted, and they want to ensure your expectations are consistent with that budget before moving forward.
- Would you rather work by yourself or with a group?
Project Manager
Had a couple of really good chats with two interesting people. Felt like a good match was confirmed during the talks. The bummer is I got rejected, which is fine, I get it. Lots of things could be the reason. What really irked me though was not getting any feedback at all, even after I asked. Seems unfair given the effort I put in to travel, prep, and all that. Feedback should be a given.
- Can you walk me through your previous work roles?
- Could you elaborate on your past experiences?
- What is your educational qualification?
