After applying, I got a call about three weeks later. It started with a quick phone screen, then I met the director and an HR person face-to-face. Less than a week after that, I had another meeting with the director, the executive director, a different HR rep, and someone who would be my peer. About a week from that meeting, I got a call offering me the job. The whole thing, from the first call to the offer, took about a month. The interviews were pretty standard, and the questions weren't too out there.

After a good first interview, I was invited back for a second interview. Both times, I met with a panel of four interviewers. During the second interview, I was given a tour and introduced to most of the department. We chatted casually about work culture and the job. The interview covered the same questions as the first. I was told I was one of six candidates for six open positions, which felt like a job offer. I was expecting a call by the end of the following week, but after following up the next week, I never heard back, not even to be told I didn't get the job.
