First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sugarbush Resorts.
Lift Operator
The interview was conducted via Skype. They inquired about my comfort level with extreme cold and whether I owned suitable attire for snowy conditions. Additionally, they shared some details regarding the job responsibilities and the resort.
- Were you used to the extreme cold?
Ski Instructor
I sent in my application and then went in for an interview with the manager after dropping off my resume with HR. The manager was great and asked me straightforward questions about my experience with children and my skiing ability.
- How would you manage a challenging situation with a parent or a child?
Ski Instructor
The interview was to check out your skiing experience, how you teach, and if you like working with kids or different ages. Having customer service experience seemed like it would be a plus. It was just one interview, and if you got hired, you'd go through training.
- What makes you want to work as a ski instructor?
Ski Instructor
The interview process was pretty simple. We chatted about experience, when I was available, and how much I liked the job. After the interview, there's training where you learn to teach and get checked on what groups you fit best with.
- Tell me about your relevant experience.
