I had a phone screen with an HR person and then I had a second interview with someone else on the team. They did ask that I complete a personality assessment before the second interview and we discussed that a bit in the second interview.

I applied online and then reached out on LinkedIn since I hadn't heard back. The first step was a phone interview with the recruiter who wanted to learn about my past work experience. Next, I had an in-person interview with the recruiter and an HR Generalist. This interview covered my professional background, and we discussed the challenges and opportunities within the HR field and at Sugar Mountain. The CEO also briefly stopped by. Shortly after, I received another invitation for an in-person interview with the VP of HR, along with a link for a personality test which we then discussed. Two days later, I had a third round of in-person interviews with employees from payroll and IT. During this meeting, we discussed typical interview questions and our expectations. On that same day, the recruiter called to offer me the position, and I was able to start just two business days later. The whole process was very quick and communication was smooth after I followed up on my application. Everyone I met was friendly and approachable, and the conversations were great. I appreciated the opportunity to introduce myself and also to learn about the employees and the company, including potential challenges.

Behavioral Technical

I had my phone interview today and wasn't impressed. I've been through a lot of interviews before. The person on the phone didn't sound excited to be there. They also didn't seem to know much about accounting and just read from a script. My advice if you're looking to hire an AR person is to have someone from the actual Accounting Team do the interviewing, because the interviewer didn't know what they were talking about and their confidence in answering questions was pretty low.

After applying, I first had a phone chat with the HR director. Then, a few days later, I went in for an onsite interview with the VP of finance. Both chats were pretty good, and they seemed like nice people. They talked about the company's different business areas and how long they've been operating.
