& Process

The interview was pretty uncomfortable. They were really into "gotcha" questions, it felt like they were trying to poke holes in what I know rather than have a real chat. The scenarios they threw at me were tough, and I felt like I didn't have enough time to properly answer. Honestly, the vibe of the whole thing made me feel like the culture and how they talk to each other here isn't great.

I first had an HR screen, then a video chat with two senior people, and finished with a short trial assignment. The whole thing was pretty clear and friendly. It took about 3 weeks. I liked that they gave specific instructions for the trial assignment, and it didn't seem like too much work.

I talked to a recruiter first. Then I had a screening phone call with HR. After that, I went for an on-site interview. The on-site was actually a panel interview, which I wasn't told about beforehand. They started the interview before everyone arrived, so I had to repeat some stuff. The panel was nice, and the Instructional Designer lead let the others ask most of the questions, but they answered most of my questions. I didn't get the job, but the recruiter let me know within a few days, which was good.

I applied and got an editing test via email within a couple days. I had a week to finish it. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with two people. One interviewer was in a meeting, so it got cut short. Dogs are allowed in the office and the interviewer's dog was there during our chat. It was cute but a bit distracting.
