First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Subaru of America, Inc..
Intern
It was very basic info. They asked about strengths and weaknesses and why you want to work at Subaru. You should definitely mention their mission and giving back to the community.
- Why are you interested in working for Subaru?
Intern
They asked a lot of questions because Subaru really wants to know you as a person. They want to see your experience even though it's an entry-level job, and it pays $19. Some people were nice to talk to, others weren't.
- What makes you want to work for Subaru?
Intern
Had a 20-30 minute chat with HR, who was super nice and we even found some common personal interests, which made things comfortable. It wasn't tough, no typical strength/weakness questions. Instead, it was more about situations from past experiences. Be ready to talk about challenges in work or group projects and how you succeeded. I got to the second round, which would have been at their corporate office in NJ. I bet it would have been harder there. But, I'm studying abroad and they only do in-person interviews because the internship process is long.
