The interview was simple, I had a call with the social media manager who would be my boss. She asked a few questions and then next followed up with a short project to complete.

I applied in March and heard back a few weeks later with some questions to answer via email. After sending my answers, I was told I'd hear back if the hiring manager was interested. About a month later, the internship coordinator reached out to set up a phone interview for a few days out. The phone interview went alright; the interviewer was nice and asked a lot of questions. I didn't get any feedback on whether I got the internship, which was a bit disappointing.

A company rep reached out to me about an internship they thought I'd be a good fit for. I emailed someone else they told me to contact, and then it was just a back-and-forth with him. He set up a time to meet the next day and then canceled the morning of. He didn't contact me for a week to reschedule. I had to reach out again, and he told me to come in the next morning. I met with two people for about 10 minutes. At the end, they asked if I wanted a paid or for-credit internship. I said I could only do paid. They seemed to want free labor and then told me to email them some questions and they'd be in touch. I did that and haven't heard back in almost two weeks. It felt unprofessional and unorganized.

The interview started with a phone chat with the person currently in the role. Later that day, I was invited for an in-person meeting. Upon arrival, the interviewer seemed to have a negative attitude from the start, as if she had a pre-existing issue with me, despite never having met. Her demeanor was unfriendly and negative, setting a similar tone for the whole interview. Her primary focus was on getting me to criticize my previous manager and company, and she wasn't pleased when I declined to speak ill of them. She also seemed to value 'winning' arguments with colleagues, as she brought it up and asked if I also 'won' in disputes with superiors and peers. She then asked if I was aggressive. This interaction was a major turn-off. I'm unsure if this was an isolated incident with her or representative of the team and company culture. Additionally, neither interviewer appeared to have a clear grasp of the company's current activities or future direction, suggesting frequent shifts in strategy and difficulty in articulating the company's path and the specifics of this role.
