Project Manager
It was a really quick and straightforward interview process. I had two interviews: one with HR and another with the project manager. Each interview lasted about 1.5 hours, and they were both conducted over the phone.
- Can you walk me through your past projects?
Project Manager
I applied online and then got a call for an interview. I met with 2 VPs and the project exec. They told me they didn't have any open roles but like to keep a list of potential candidates ready in case they win some contracts. I'm not sure how I feel about that, I got my suit cleaned and did a lot of research for a company that isn't actually hiring.
- Have you worked in life science or healthcare before?
Project Manager
I applied online and then a recruiter reached out. Seems like the recruiter and the staff at the local office weren't on the same page. The VP and PM had already talked to people at my previous company before they spoke to me - it's a small industry, so to speak. The interview was with the VP and the PM. They went through my resume very carefully, looking for any exaggeration. I explained my past projects, my roles, and my connections with executives (they knew most of my previous colleagues, even though I lived 350 miles away). I was offered another job with a different company the next day, and I told the recruiter about it. I gave them 24 hours to make a competing offer. The next day I called them back, and the recruiter asked for more time, but I said no. The other company had given me a deadline to accept, and I couldn't risk not having a job because I have kids!
- Can you confirm that everything on your resume is accurate?
