I applied online and heard back from a recruiter within a couple of weeks. The interviewer, Gretchen, asked a lot of questions and took notes on everything I said, but didn't make much eye contact. She also gave me a really unusual timed writing test, emphasizing that proposal writing needs to be perfect and she doesn't want to do many edits. She got frustrated when I couldn't finish within her time limits. The whole interview lasted about 2 hours and felt like a waste of time. I never even got a rejection notification.

Three weeks after sending my resume, the Regional Marketing Manager called me to set up an interview for the next week. They requested a lot of personal info for a background check before I even got an offer, which felt too early and intrusive. The interview itself had an editing test and a writing test, followed by an interview with the Regional Marketing Manager. She seemed nice and I thought it went well. She said she'd get back to me after the holidays, probably mid-January. I ended up calling her in late January for an update. She was really rude and seemed too busy to talk, acting like I was interrupting her. I asked her to keep me updated. A few weeks later, I emailed again. It's now April and I still haven't heard back. I understand if I'm not the right fit, but is this dismissive attitude acceptable in business? It gave me a bad impression of STV and a sense of what it might be like to work there.

The process was the slowest I’ve ever experienced with multiple phone conversations and then an in-person testing session. Don’t waste your time. The hiring manager even said their process was incredibly slow. I received 4 offers for much higher pay in the time they were still putting me through their process. Don’t waste your time.

I was asked to complete a writing test where I had to correct a poorly written letter. This felt a bit insulting given the position isn't entry-level and the test seemed designed for a general administrative role.
