First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Studler Doyle.
Administrative Assistant
It was pretty easy, I actually started as a part-time temp, so I only had to interview with the HR rep. Straight forward typical questions, they did check one of my former employers, I believe.
- Can you tell me about a time you faced adversity in a previous role and how you handled it?
Administrative Assistant
I had a 1-hour meeting with the office manager. They asked me about my past experience and if I would be able to pass a background check, which I confirmed I could. They were interested in my experience but once I started the job, it was clear they only wanted me for typing letters and packing boxes, which was not what I applied for.
- Tell me about your experience and your previous insurance experience.
- They were interested in my previous insurance experience but never used any of my knowledge, only wanted me for administrative because they can't keep employees.
Administrative Assistant
I first met with the director, and then the managing director joined. We talked about my skills and career goals. After that, I went around the office to meet some of the staff. Later I got a call and accepted the offer. I think I met or exceeded the skills they were looking for, and it seemed like the interview was mostly about whether my personality and professionalism were a good fit. When I started working there, I figured out why. They made me feel really comfortable during the interview; both were very friendly but also professional, which I respect.
- How do you handle working under stress and when facing multiple demands?
Administrative
The hiring manager will inquire about your basic information, which should be quite straightforward. While everyone may appear friendly and the environment seems pleasant, maintain your awareness.
- Are you able to manage stress?
