First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at STS Aviation.
Quality Inspector
It was about a 45 minute interview. The hiring manager was very knowledgeable about aircraft and aircraft systems.
- What are your inspection criteria?
- Tell me about yourself and why you are a good fit for this role.
Engineering Technician
This interview was pretty standard. It kicked off with the usual 'tell me about yourself' question, then moved into a mix of technical and soft skill questions. I'd say it was about a 50/50 split between the two types.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Where do you see yourself in three years?
- What does this electronic component do?
Aircraft Mechanic
Had a couple of interviews in person, plus some phone chats. Had to submit some records and training docs too. We talked about different planes and shared stories. Lots of background checking, calling references, and tons of paperwork. But honestly, it felt pretty chill. They actually listened to what I had to say. It was easy because if you know your stuff, answering is no sweat. The tough part is remembering that not everyone knows it all, and the more you chat about it, the more you realize how much you want the job and don't want to mess it up.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Tell me about the airplanes you know.
- Know the airplanes you will get the job. simple as that.
IT Systems Analyst
First, there was a phone call. Then, we had lunch at a restaurant, which really helped break the ice and understand the environment. After that, I was asked about my knowledge of different systems.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and how they would benefit this company?
- What knowledge do you have regarding various systems?
