after applying online, there was an information session and an online test, followed by a 15-minute screening interview, and then an assessment centre. The online test had questions like those in age 16 exams for physics and maths. The online screening interview was standard, asking about why consulting and such. The assessment centre was a bit of a hassle, with about 15 people in one room in three groups that rotated, and three cases to solve. They then gave us a surprise test, an advanced case-solving exam that they admitted was designed to be impossibly hard with limited time, which I found strange. Some disappointing things were that although applicants were assured people from any background would be hired, candidates were rejected for having a "non-technical" background, even with business degrees and experience, implying they only want physics/engineering/maths graduates. The team is male- and white-dominated, with only two women and one person of colour, and even among the candidates there were only three visible people of colour, suggesting they hire from a specific demographic, and at the AC mainly men were progressed.

I went to a cool info session at Imperial College, and there was a 20-min aptitude test. That's the only way to apply to Stroud, so it's really important to be there. A couple days later, I had a 15-min chat about my CV and why I wanted to join Stroud. Then, I was invited to a second round where the London team did a group case study, followed by some individual tests. It was super convenient that Stroud came to our campus.
