First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stride Health.
Lifecycle Marketing Associate
It was a really awful experience. I went through five rounds in a little over three weeks. After the final interview, I was told I was one of two finalists and would hear back by the end of that week. That week passed with no word. I followed up the next Monday, and didn't hear back until two weeks later, when they said they were 'finalizing interviews with other candidates,' even though they had explicitly told me it was between me and one other person. I followed up again about two weeks ago, and have heard nothing since. I get that they might have gone with someone else, but going over a month without any communication after putting me through five rounds is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to manage several campaigns or priorities at the same time?
Software Engineer
If English is your second language, they might just cancel you. I had one interview with their engineering manager, and it was mostly behavioral. I answered all of them really well, and after each answer, he was saying "yes, that's right!" and it seemed like he liked my answers, but a few days later I got an email that they weren't going to proceed with me.
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
Engineering Manager
Got referred so some interviews got mixed up. Started with a call with the hiring manager, then the recruiter. Then a technical screen with an engineer. The onsite interviews were spread out over a few days and involved talking to different people about cross-functional stuff, technical architecture, culture fit, product/design collaboration, and I also had to do a presentation.
- How would you design and scale a given feature?
- Can you tell me about your experience with [task/responsibility] as an Engineering Manager?
- Tell me about a technical feature or project you've worked on before.
Partner Success Manager
The interview process was thorough and positive. It started with a recruiter call about the role and Stride. Then, a team member interviewed me. The third round involved 5 separate interviews with different teams, where they discussed their roles and asked relevant questions about my experience. I then met with the CMO for 30 minutes, followed by a brief 30-minute conversation with the CEO about my background and Stride's mission. Everyone was easy to talk to, making the interviews conversational. Meeting more team members gave me a better overview of Stride. I felt comfortable asking questions, and their questions felt relevant, not generic.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error in your professional life and explain how you handled it?
