First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stress Engineering Services.
Sales Associate
I had a face-to-face interview at their Houston office for a whole day. It was a smooth process and friendly people. It was a long day though but productive.
- Walk me through your resume and past experience.
- Can you answer some technical questions?
Test Engineer
Applied through the career center and had an on-campus interview. The interview was pretty straightforward. First, the recruiter asked me to introduce myself, talk about what I learned in my degree, and show how my skills could benefit the company. The next part was a phone interview with different managers who went over my resume in detail and asked questions about my skills. I'm waiting for the third round, which will be an on-site presentation.
- How would you deal with a conflict with a coworker?
Associate
It was a 4-5 hour interview process. We started with a presentation about myself and my portfolio. Then there were several rounds of questioning with different people. They weren't looking for trick questions, just trying to see if I was a good fit and compatible.
- Could you present yourself and your portfolio?
- What's your experience with injection molding?
- Tell me about a time you resolved a specific problem.
Project Engineer
I had an on campus interview after a career fair. Then I had 2 phone interviews. The last step was an in-person interview with 6-8 engineers at the Houston campus and a technical presentation.
- Tell me about a time you applied your engineering coursework to a real-world situation.
