First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stratstone.
Business Manager
The interview was pretty straightforward and interesting, not too robotic. It took a few rounds to finish, with each round lasting about an hour. They scheduled the next round pretty quickly. You do have to follow up for feedback though.
- How do you handle team member relationships?
Sales Associate
I had an in-person meeting with the manager. They asked some questions about my abilities, looking for examples from real situations. They also asked what I knew about the company and its brand.
- Can you describe a challenge you encountered with a customer in a past role, including the problem and how you resolved it?
- What is your understanding of our company and brand?
Sales Executive
I applied online and had a quick chat to learn more about me, then we set up a face-to-face interview at the Newport Service center. It went well, and then I was invited for a second interview. For this one, I did a role-play to check my sales skills, which I wasn't expecting, especially since I have property sales experience and haven't done car sales before. I tried my best though. A few days later, I heard back that I didn't get the job. I was really bummed, but the Sales Manager, Peter, was super helpful and made me feel really comfortable and welcome during both interviews. I was so keen on the opportunity but didn't quite make the cut.
- How would you handle a difficult day at work?
Customer Service Assistant
Applied online, got a call for a quick telephone interview and then was put forward to a formal interview at the dealership. It was a very straight forward and laidback interview, mostly discussed the role and my previous experience. Called back a week later to be put through a bit of role play regarding what to do if you was dealing with a customer and got the call an hour later for the position.
- Do you have prior experience interacting with people face-to-face?
