Behavioral Technical Case

There was a mix of interviews, some focusing on motivation, technical skills, or past experiences. Standard questions were asked for strategic consulting roles. The experience was pleasant, except for the lack of a direct response (rejection) at the end of the process.

First, a CV screening. Then, a 15-minute info call with HR. After that, a 1-hour preparation workshop for the assessment day. This is followed by a 20-minute coffee chat with a consultant. Finally, an assessment day with 3 interviews: a 20-minute personal fit interview, a 20-minute case interview, and a 10-minute Q&A with the interviewers.

Behavioral Case Presentation

So I started with an online assessment. The first round had two interviews, each 45 minutes long, back-to-back. The first interview was mostly behavioral questions like 'Why consulting?' and 'Why Strategy&?', with a market sizing question at the end. The second interview, you get a slide deck of about 10 slides and three questions to answer. You have 10 minutes to prep, then the interviewer starts asking. The second round is basically the same format as the first, but you're talking with Directors/Partners. Honestly, those interviews felt better because they didn't stick to the script as much and asked about specific things on my CV.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Could you explain your motivation for applying to Strategy&?
  • Describe an instance where you took the lead in a team.
  • Can you walk me through a market sizing problem?
