First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Strategic Solutions Group.
Low Code Engineer
There were 3 rounds in the interview process. Everyone was super nice and professional. They asked me a lot of questions focused on how I gather business requirements. Then I had the final round, which I thought went pretty well. It involved a lot of questions about my background, especially my extensive experience in Low Code Development, and a simple data exercise that's easy if you know basic SQL/relational databases. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer. I really wish I had gotten more feedback because it seemed to be going well. I suspect the salary range might have been an issue.
- How do you take business requirements and turn them into a technical scope?
QA Engineer
Applied online, answered some hiring questions, and uploaded my resume. HR Manager called within a few days to schedule interviews. Had two Zoom interviews, covering both technical and non-technical aspects. Overall, the process was quite smooth.
- Can you tell me about challenges you've encountered in your past roles and how you managed them?
- Describe your familiarity with IT QA processes.
- What would be your approach to database-related scenarios?
Business Analyst
I put a lot of time into prepping for the 3 interview rounds, and had to travel to the Needham office for each one. It's been 3-4 weeks since the last interview, and after sending thank you emails and a follow-up to the recruiter and the last interviewer about a timeline for a decision, I haven't heard anything back. For a small consulting firm trying to grow and get client contracts, their candidate engagement is pretty poor, especially after 3 rounds suggesting serious hiring potential. They should at least set expectations if the process is taking longer than usual, just like they would with a client project.
- Can you share an experience of handling a challenging client?
- Tell me about a time a project didn't go as planned.
- What's your background with Agile for requirements documentation?
Customer Support and Experience Specialist
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and then had an initial phone screen with another recruiter. They seemed keen to proceed, but I later received an email saying they'd chosen another candidate. I asked for feedback, but the recruiter didn't know why I wasn't selected.
- Can you discuss your past work history?
- Have you worked with HL7 before?
