It was fine. I had a virtual interview with two HRBPs, and then I was invited on site for an in-person interview with the HR Director. The offer process was confusing and unpleasant. They gave me an offer that was way less than my current salary, so I tried to negotiate. I waited almost a week for a response. They told me the verbal offer was firm. I said I would accept if it was still on the table. Then another week went by, and they said the verbal offer was too much for their budget and they needed to lower it even more. I declined gracefully. I understand things change, but I would have expected the budget to be confirmed before they started recruiting or before making a verbal offer.

I applied online and then got a call for a phone screen. The recruiter was super nice and made me feel comfortable. After that, I talked to the current Corporate Paralegal who told me a lot about the job. It sounds like a good role for someone who likes working fast and being proactive. I was asked to interview with the rest of the team, but I couldn't because the commute was too long. It's a full-time in-office job, and the office is in a cool old building.

Behavioral Technical

The interviewer and his partner seemed surprised by the interview. Another manager's remarks were condescending at times. Saying, 'I don't know if you know,' is not welcoming or inclusive. The two scheduled meetings needed clear instructions for attending both sessions. Lastly, the job title was changed just before the meeting. The interviewers did a good job trying to connect and find similarities, but unforcedly, they came across as very disorganized.

I was first contacted by a Strata recruiter via phone. They explained the role and the company, and what to expect for my in-person interview, and I got all my questions about pay, career path, etc answered. The recruiter met me on the day of my interview and came with me to the interview with the managers. The managers were really nice and thorough. It was one of the best interview experiences I've had.
