I wanted to share this because positive interview experiences aren’t always posted, and this one felt worth mentioning. Even though I wasn’t selected for the role, the communication throughout the process and afterward was thoughtful, transparent, and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The team was warm and welcoming and easy to talk to from the start, which made a big difference. The conversations were engaging, and it was clear the team genuinely enjoys what they do and who they work with. That came through in such a real way that my interview nerves quickly faded, and I was able to be myself in what is usually an uncomfortable situation of trying to talk through and market yourself. I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to meet with me and for the experience overall, and I wish the team continued success.

I spoke with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director. It was pretty straightforward, but HR got sick and I ended up waiting around for about two weeks. The interview itself wasn't very long.

I had a really great interview experience. It started with a phone call, and then I got an email to come in for an in-person interview with the attorneys I'd be working with and my manager. They were super friendly and made me feel really comfortable, it was one of the best interview experiences I've ever had. They really knew my resume and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me as a person, not just about work stuff. They also took the time to explain the role to make sure it was a good fit for me. I got a job offer the very next day.

I received an email to schedule a phone interview, and then another to set up an in-person one. I met with someone from HR and then the Library Manager. The interview seemed to be going okay until I asked about her staff's adequacy, which seemed to hit a nerve. I could tell she was getting stressed, and I realized this wasn't the place for me. The job has been reposted, so maybe others felt the same. A major drawback is the lack of a physical library; the print collection is kept in hallways. I was confused when she mentioned checking if a title circulated, as I didn't see how that was possible without a library space. She also seemed surprised by my reaction to the absence of a library, and I felt a physical library is important for a librarian to show value.
