Really enjoyed the process. The questions centered on my actual work, like decisions I made in projects, how I'd tackle things differently given a different problem setup, and what tools/practices I use, which I really liked. Everyone was nice and seemed enthusiastic to talk to me. The process included: 1. A screening with the hiring manager. 2. A panel interview with 3 engineers of different seniority levels and the group lead. 3. An offer. It was a very clear and straightforward process.

I had an initial virtual interview that went well. The manager seemed knowledgeable and pleasant. After that, the rest of the process was messy. They scheduled another meeting, then accidentally cancelled it during rescheduling. They re-booked it and sent a confirmation with the wrong time. The second person I met with was unprepared and unsure of the meeting's purpose. Following that, I was ghosted for three weeks, despite emailing for an update after the first week. I received an email after three weeks asking to schedule a 3-hour virtual interview. I gave my availability, but they replied saying they changed their mind and now want a 5-hour in-person interview. I declined this. While I'm sure STR is a great company, the disorganization from HR really put me off.

It was a pretty simple interview. They pretty much ask about your experience and some questions about technical knowledge relevant to the internship. More focused on whether you are a good fit.
