First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Storm Guard.
Sales Representative
It was really thorough. You gotta know your stuff and have examples ready. Expect a lot of behavioral questions, so answer them like that. Make sure you're on time and have some questions to ask.
- Could you share some instances where you excelled in sales?
- Can you give me an example of a successful sale you made?
- Describe a situation where you had to sell a product or service and were successful.
Sales Manager
Applied online and a hiring manager, Josh Miller, reached out. Had a pretty straightforward phone interview. He mentioned moving me to the next interview with the franchise owner and that he'd set it up. That person never contacted me. I followed up with Josh, and he said he'd check on it. He never got back to me or replied to my follow-ups via email or calls. Super unprofessional!
- Are you comfortable managing people?
Sales Representative
I saw an ad and called because they said interviews were only happening that day and the day before. I scheduled a meeting for that day, emailed my resume, and drove over. I had an interview where they mostly talked, explained the commission structure, sold me on the business, and asked a couple of questions. They told me to go home and think about it and call them if I wanted to move forward.
- Can you tell a joke? (The interviewer mentioned that people who can memorize and deliver a good joke are good sales reps.)
Sales Representative
I found this job opening online and proceeded to an in-person interview. It was a great opportunity, and the staff and manager were great, answering all my questions. The product is easy to sell.
- Would you be okay with going up on roofs to sell the product?
