Technical Behavioral

After submitting the application online, there was an onsite interview. The boss and teammates were nice, and the questions were fair yet challenging. The interviewer focused heavily on the techniques I use and my career plans. It's important to answer fluently to build trust. They also wanted to see evidence of my skills in both dry and wet experiments.

Behavioral Presentation

First, there was a panel interview with three committee members which was pretty easy and felt professional. Then, about a month later, I had a full day of interviews for the second round with a VP, a department head, and the rest of the department who would be my peers. The second round felt disorganized; the team seemed unprepared, interviews started late, and the actual job requirements didn't match the description. I could also feel the fear the peers had towards leadership. I didn't get an offer and found out indirectly when the job was re-posted with slightly different requirements, which felt unprofessional after making it to the final round and taking time off work.
