Even though the interview process took a while (4 weeks from beginning to offer), I really liked that I got to talk to everyone involved in the position at the corporate office. I also got to meet the people I'd be working with regularly in person. They even flew me to Denver, put me up in a nice hotel, and the Senior Vice President, Randy, met me for breakfast at my hotel – which was a great touch! All my interviews were very open, honest, and thorough. I feel like I got a solid understanding of what I was getting into at my new hotel. Now that I've been in this role for a few months, I can truly say it's been everything I expected and more! There were no surprises, except that the staff here is amazing, and I'm fortunate to have them. The long interview process was totally worth it; I'm so glad I persevered and declined other offers for this one.

The interviews took a long time to complete. Senior Management was slow to make a decision. The interview process was pretty standard for a General Manager role. I had to get approvals from company VPs, SVPs, and the CEO. I was about to turn down the offer when it came, but I was happy with the interviews. The only issue was how long it took to get accepted, which might make other people not want to apply.

It was a lengthy interview process, lasting about 3.5 weeks from the initial interview to the offer. While I get that they want to be super thorough in finding the right person, it started to feel like a bit of a chore, having to travel all over the place. Maybe they could shorten it to just one or two interviews with two people each? That said, I actually liked the interviews themselves. I didn't feel awkward at all, and the conversations just flowed.
