First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stolt-Nielsen.
Product Owner
I was ghosted after the final interview. The company led me through a screening, two rounds of interviews, and a personality test, only to not inform me about the results. They did not reply to any of my follow-up emails and never provided a phone number.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- How do you approach your work?
- What are your career aspirations?
Ship Operator
It was a very brief interview. I had more experience than they required, and they were mainly interested in my salary expectations and if I was willing to work outside of office hours and for longer than normal hours. The interviewer seemed to lose interest when I mentioned that the salary range for the position was below the market average, and the interview ended shortly after.
- Could you tell me why you are seeking a new opportunity?
- Would you be open to working extended hours and during non-traditional times regularly?
- What is your present salary?
Low Code Developer
Got contacted by a recruitment agency. Had a quick 15 min chat with the recruiter about the role, they were super friendly and seemed keen for me to get it. Then, I had a call with 2 developers. It was called a technical interview, but there weren't any coding challenges. The final stage was to go to their office to chat with a senior manager. They said it was an informal chat about fitting in, but it turned out to be a more in-depth version of the second stage technical interview. I was told I'd get feedback no matter what, but I never did, and neither did the agency even after following up.
- Can you explain how you incorporate tests into your development process?
Accountant
It started with a headhunter reaching out. Since I fit the company's needs, they passed my application along. The first step was an interview and an exam with HR. After that, I was supposed to have three interviews with the accounting supervisor, accounting manager, and controller. I ended up skipping one because the accounting manager wasn't available. The whole thing, including the exam and interviews, was done in a single day, which was really convenient. I got the offer about one or two days later.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
