They started me off with a phone call, then I had two onsite interviews. First, I spoke with the HR manager. After that, I had my first onsite with three members of the sustainability team. Then, I had the second onsite with a management lead.

This interview process was very unprofessional. It involved about 3-4 rounds, including an in-person interview, and then they asked for my references. I specifically asked them to only contact my references if they were serious about the role, as I didn't want to bother them unnecessarily. During one interview, I was asked if I knew person ABC, who is a client of my current company. I confirmed I did, even though ABC wasn't on my formal reference list. The interviewer then contacted ABC without my permission to ask about me. This person ABC then contacted my company's CEO to discuss my job search, which led to me having to explain the situation to my current employer. Ultimately, Stok informed me they weren't moving forward because they decided to change the job requirements. They should either be sure about the position they're hiring for or maintain professionalism. I would have appreciated knowing even if my references gave negative feedback. What an experience.
