Full Stack Developer
The interview process had 3 rounds in total. First was an initial phone screen, then a 1-hour video interview, and finally a 6-hour long final interview. I found the questions in all 3 interviews to be easy and I managed to solve them all. I got positive feedback from everyone I spoke with. I spent a whole 6 hours on the final interview day, answering every question with confidence. I'm really confused why I got a rejection email the following week, especially after getting positive feedback from all the team members. They didn't even give a reason in the email, just a couple of lines wishing me good luck. This feels really unfair and unprofessional after investing 6 hours. It was a negative and frustrating experience.

Product Designer
I got contacted by a Creative Circle recruiter about a contract role at Stockpile in late January 2020. Despite bad Glassdoor reviews, I decided to interview to see if the company culture had improved under new leadership. The recruiter told me I had an in-person interview at Stockpile the next week, where I'd meet the CEO and Product Design Lead and possibly present my portfolio and critique an app. The interview itself was unusual; the CEO started by asking if I had something to show them, skipping introductions or basic questions. I presented my portfolio, but the CEO and Design Lead were unprofessional, repeatedly letting the office dog in and out of the room during my presentation, and the Design Lead kept checking his phone. They asked some challenging questions about my portfolio projects, and then asked if I had any questions. The interview ended there; there was no app critique, and they didn't ask about me or typical interview questions. I never heard back, so I assume I didn't get the job.

Project Manager
This company was a huge disappointment. I went through 2 rounds of interviews, each lasting an hour. The first was with the people manager, and the second was with the COO. They mainly asked about how my work experience aligned with the entire project lifecycle. I even got LinkedIn connection requests from Stockpile employees, which made me think I'd get the job because they seemed confident in my potential. However, after the two interviews, the company's behavior became unprofessional – they never got back to me. I reached out to HR and was told I'd hear from the People Manager soon because they were checking the CEO's availability for a final round. Ten days later, still no word. I emailed HR again, and the Talent team finally responded, saying the opening was closed! It's frustrating when they don't want to hire someone but still waste candidates' time with multiple lengthy interviews. Why ghost candidates and only respond after follow-ups? Why lie about a final CEO interview and then say the position is closed? It was a complete waste of my time, and the employer was very unprofessional.

- Questions about scope creep and trade-offs.
UX Designer
I had an onsite interview before the pandemic, back in early 2020. It felt really professional. I met with three or four designers who would potentially be my teammates. They were mostly really nice and seemed genuinely interested in hearing about my background, and also in sharing details about Stockpile.
- Can you present a case study and explain the rationale for your design choices?
