First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at STMicroelectronics.
Software Engineer
The interview was conducted online and I met with the HR, a Senior Software Engineer, and the Manager. The Senior Engineer asked me a coding question, and the Manager asked me general questions about my background. The HR was a bit late because they were in another meeting, but everyone was really nice and respectful.
- I was shown some code and asked if it would execute without any issues.
- I was given a code snippet with a loop and asked to determine if the loop termination condition would ever be met.
Software Engineer
They initially reached out via phone after finding my resume online, confirming my availability for an interview and scheduling it. The process began with an aptitude test, followed by a group discussion with seven other candidates. After the group discussion, some candidates were dismissed while others, including myself, waited for the next stage. The penultimate round was a technical interview, which they mentioned requires only average preparation for in-house projects.
- Can you discuss basic technology concepts?
- Describe the projects you have undertaken.
- How do you approach problem-solving?
Software Engineer
We started with a phone interview, and then they asked me to fly out to ST. After that, there was a full day of technical interviews, which included one test round, one 1:1 interview, one with the project manager, and one with the line manager. Finally, there was an HR interview.
