Digital Design Engineer
Had an on-campus interview. First, there was a pen and paper test. Then, an interview where they asked me technical questions about digital design, covering topics like flip-flops, racing conditions, MUX, DEMUX, decoders, adders, and subtractors.
- Could you describe what a racing condition is specifically within a JK flip-flop?
RTL Design Intern
The interview was online and really dug into basic digital electronics stuff. They asked about counters and shift registers, wanting me to explain how they work and what they're used for. I also had to talk about my past projects, like what problems I ran into and how I solved them. Then they asked more questions based on what I said, digging into the technical side and asking for more detail on my project design decisions.
- Can you explain how counters work and what they are used for?
- Tell me about your previous projects, including any challenges you faced and how you overcame them.
- Could you elaborate on the design choices you made in your past projects?
ASIC Engineer
It was a face-to-face interview. After introductions, they asked about unsolved questions from the written paper. Then, they went through the complete RTL to GDS flow. Finally, I was asked to write Verilog code for an asynchronous counter.
