Project Manager
After a call from HR, I had a video interview with the hiring manager. It was a nice, hour-long chat. A few days later, I heard back that I wasn't selected. The manager was engaging, asking some tough questions. Ultimately, they felt I didn't have enough experience, and the role wasn't quite what I was after.
- What project management activities are you currently responsible for?
- Could you explain the distinctions between Milestones, Deliverables, and Requirements?
- What is your motivation for seeking a new job opportunity?
Project Manager
Had a friendly initial chat, then a phone call. After that, I was called onsite. We talked a lot about the project on my resume. They also took enough time to explain the job role and what they expected. The HR round happened the same day. The HR interview was actually harder than the technical one because the interviewer presented many scenarios and asked how I would respond. In the end, they gave me an offer, and it was finalized within a week.
- Can you discuss the projects detailed on your resume?
- Discuss projects from your resume.
Project Manager
They first ask for my last drawn salary and expected salary. I went through 3 interview rounds. In the 3rd round with HR, I asked for a higher expected salary because I felt I could contribute more. I asked the HR if the amended expected salary was within their budget, and they said they needed to check internally. After that, the company went silent.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Describe your leadership styles.
