Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at STMicroelectronics.
Maintenance Manager
The process was quite long. There was one HR interview and three interviews with technical managers. It started with a phone call and then moved to an on-site interview. It took them 5 months to give a final answer, which is pretty similar to most companies.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to manage a conflict.
Stage Manager
The interview was held remotely. The staff was very friendly. The interview included soft skills and technical parts simultaneously. I was called back by phone shortly after. This is a good starting point for students or recent graduates.
- What was the most interesting course you took during your bachelor's degree?
Manager
The interview process involved three interviewers and consisted of lengthy interviews. Additionally, there was a technical assessment and personality tests. I progressed to the final round. Notably, HR was not heavily involved in the interview itself, primarily handling logistics, receiving applications, and sharing compensation details, unlike in other companies.
- Considering your previous role offered greater autonomy and promising career prospects aligned with your achievements, what makes you keen on this particular position?
