Human Resources
I chatted with the Recruiter on the phone. Then I met with two executives for an open discussion. Finally, I had a meet and greet with the CEO.
- Tell me about your strengths.
- How would you describe your work pace?
R&D Engineer
It was a 3 round interview process. First I spoke with an HR rep. Then I had a second interview with 3 engineers from the R&D team. The third interview was with 2 scientists on the R&D team. Everyone was super nice and asked standard behavioral and technical questions. I thought it went really well, and they even said the team liked me. But then, just before they were going to schedule a fourth interview with the R&D Director, they told me someone else got the job. It was a bummer, especially since I really liked the people and company and thought things were looking good.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to handle a challenging team member, using the STAR method?
Controller
Had a few phone calls with HR, then went in person to meet with 4 people. The interviewers were pretty stale. The women were unfriendly and just repeated my resume back to me. The men asked more personal questions like 'tell us about you' to see if I would fit in with them (which I didn't). It wasn't a good feeling interview.
- Tell us about yourself, not your resume, we can read that.
