First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stillwater Medical Center.
Administrative Assistant
It was good and friendly and professional. I didn't feel pressured or uncomfortable. Just be honest with your answers. None of the questions felt formal; they just wanted to get a sense of who I am.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself and what kind of person you are?
Medical Assistant
First I met with HR, then the Director interviewed me one on one. After those first two interviews, we had a group interview with the clinic staff. Following that, I had to give them my references, who then had to complete an online questionnaire about me. If I got an offer, I'd need to fill out background check info and complete the required immunization procedures, plus a UA and TB test.
- Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
- What prompted your interest in Stillwater Medical Center?
Nutrition Services Assistant
I applied online, and then HR called me for an interview. The questions were pretty standard. Later that same day, I got to interview with the director of the department I was applying for. About a week after that, they rang me up to set up a peer interview. The peer interview didn't even take 20 minutes and had some pre-written questions along with some off-the-cuff ones from the panel.
- How would you deal with a situation where a colleague isn't pulling their weight?
CNA
You go to the HR building, which isn't part of the hospital, to meet them. They'll do an initial screening there to see if you'll move on to an interview with the department you applied to.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
