I applied for an HR assistant job on Indeed. The recruiter called me quickly and said I might be a good fit for the Managed Print Specialist role, which is a sales position. Then, I did a personality test and had a phone interview with the recruiter. After that, I interviewed in person with the Director of Sales. The next step was a 'ride day' and a panel interview, which happened on the same day. I realized during the ride day that the sales job wasn't for me, even though I liked the company a lot. The panel, made up of seven department heads including the President and VP, thought I was a good fit for the company but not the sales role. They suggested a different position. So, I went back a week later to interview for the Bid/Project Coordinator job. I also had to take a Word and Excel test. They offered me the job the following week. The whole process took a bit over a month because I switched roles, but everyone was really friendly throughout.

They brought me in quickly for about an hour-long interview. It seemed like they decided by the halfway point and then hurried me out. I mentioned a technical part of the interview I was expecting, and they remembered and gave me a part to take apart and put back together. The very next morning, I got an email saying they were moving on with other candidates. It's fine, but I wish companies would give more feedback, like what I lacked compared to the person they hired, instead of just saying they're 'pursuing another candidate.'

I applied online through Xerox and a recruiter emailed me the next day to schedule an interview for two days later. The first interview went well, where I talked about my background and personal qualities. After that, I didn't hear back for two weeks until the recruiter emailed me to set up a call with the hiring manager. We had some scheduling issues, but we finally had the interview. The hiring manager seemed tired and mentioned that many people quit and the previous person in this role had also moved on. Following that, I interviewed with a team member, but my laptop mic failed, so we had to use my cellphone. During this interview, it seemed like the team member and I had very different ideas about the role, which was not what the hiring manager or the online job description suggested. He said he'd recommend me to the hiring manager. Oddly, I heard nothing the next week. In the second week, I contacted the recruiter, and she said the position was filled because they needed someone with more experience, which I take to mean they don't want to train anyone and need someone ready from day one. I think I avoided a bad situation with this company.

The interview process was pretty quick and everyone was nice. I got referred by someone who already works in sales there. First, they called me, then I had to do an online application and take some kind of assessment. After that, I had a phone chat with the recruiter. Then I met with the hiring manager. The final part was a field day and a panel interview, and the whole thing took about 7 business days.
