Applied online, had a phone screen through HR, scheduled an in-person interview. Met with HR first, then 2 project managers, and then the manager of the team. One of the team did not look as though she wanted to be at the interview and was very negative and grumpy. The job description seemed to change from what the ad said, to what the job actually was. Followed up with a friendly thank you email, never heard a thing back. Spent a lot of time at interview and prep for interview to never even receive a thank you but no thank you email.

We started with a group interview, and if you asked questions, you moved on to a second interview. The questions were about scenarios. They wanted people with sales experience and a lively, friendly personality because admissions consultants need to be able to connect with people right away.

The process was disorganized and unprofessional. After receiving a job offer and completing all the HR paperwork, including background checks and reference reviews (which were all excellent), the recruiter called on the intended start date to inform me they were rescinding the offer, without providing a reason. Attempts to reach HR resulted in a call back from the same rude recruiter, who reiterated the decision. This recruiter had previously been dishonest, calling over the weekend for references and late Friday to discuss remote work and other possibilities, assuring me everything was fine and expressing excitement about me joining. However, her attitude drastically shifted when she called to cancel my start date, becoming extremely rude and aggressive. I was denied the opportunity to speak with management or HR. This is incredibly frustrating as I had declined three other offers based on the assurance of employment with them, even signing all the necessary paperwork. This situation is unacceptable.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The questions were not difficult; I believe they hire based on likeability rather than qualifications.

It was a process with three interviews that kept going up the management chain. First, I spoke with my direct manager and some of the team members. After that, I had another interview with my direct manager and their boss. Finally, the last interview was with my direct manager and other managers at the same level.
