IT Business Analyst
It was a very quick interview because I had already met with HR at a previous career fair, which allowed me to skip the HR interview. So, I only had one 40-minute interview with the manager and an employee. I found the process too short to really get to know the candidate, and for me to get to know the company well.
- Can you describe your academic and professional background?
Title Coordinator
I applied for the Bilingual Title Coordinator I position through ZipRecruiter and scheduled a phone interview for Friday. However, on Monday, another recruiter contacted me, claiming they had lost their notes and needed to ask me the questions again. They didn't even re-inquire about my title experience. Shortly after, I received a message stating my background wasn't a match for the role's requirements at this time, even though the job ad specified no experience was needed. I do have title experience, which makes this rejection baffling. My suspicion is they wanted to offer a lower salary than the $20 I requested.
- Can you tell me about your experience with titles?
Collection Manager
I had an initial chat with HR about the Collection Manager role. I have more than 5 years in collections and 10 years of management experience. When I asked if they had any other questions, the recruiter said I met the qualifications and was moving forward, but then asked for my salary expectations. I declined to give a range, preferring to discuss salary later to ensure we were aligned, which seemed to displease her. A few days later, I got an email saying I wasn't qualified. Honestly, I was relieved because the benefits, like no vacation for 90 days, aren't great for a manager at this level. If you're interested, be prepared to share your salary range upfront. Also, the interviewer asked me to complete a survey about the process multiple times. The day after I submitted the survey, I got rejected. It feels a bit suspicious, like they might just be interviewing for metrics.
- Could you please share your salary requirements?
Data Analyst
The interview was really well managed. The HR team was very receptive. The technical team was excellent, and the team had a high technical level and were definitely excellent teammates. The opportunity was clear and objective. The process was well explained and the team was receptive to any questions. The difficulty was in the technical part but within what was expected for the role.
- Technical questions about the environment and knowledge of data analysis tools.
- Questions about career aspirations.
