The first interview was well organized and friendly. It included two senior team members. One led the questioning, and the other seemed to be taking notes. The interviewers were capable and clearly had interviewing experience, though it felt a bit like they were just going through a list.

I had a 30-minute virtual interview with the recruiter via Google Meet. The recruiter immediately jumped into her questions without letting me introduce myself or discuss my job search status. This felt impersonal and set a negative tone. The job description was broader than usual for a Senior Product Marketing Manager, including technical writing, enablement support, and content creation alongside strategic PMM duties. When I asked about the balance between strategic and executional tasks, she couldn't give a clear answer. I got a rejection on LinkedIn before a formal email, which seemed unprofessional.

Getting the first interview took about 2 weeks. The first interview was 1 hour long with a US recruiter and a Senior Consultant in the UK. The interview itself felt a bit off, as some questions were normal but others seemed out of sync with the CV and cover letter. The questions were very specific to the industry, which felt strange for a general graduate role that includes a year of training. It felt like they were looking for someone with years of experience. I was expecting to hear back by the following Monday but they ghosted me for over a week. I sent two emails asking for an update, with no response.

Technical Presentation Case Behavioral

Submitted CV and Cover letter. Then, I completed timed maths and verbal reasoning tests, which were quite difficult. After that, I had a 30-minute virtual interview. Although they said it was informal, it felt quite formal. Then there was an assessment centre: first, an individual task to prepare and then give an oral presentation to a panel about bus companies and routes. After the presentation, I had an interview with two senior people about economic development. It was okay; they asked follow-up questions and technical questions about consultancy and Steer ED consultancy, but no competency or strengths-based questions.
