First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SteelHouse.
Account Manager
So the interview had 3 rounds. First was a phone screen with the recruiter, then an onsite with the Accounts team, and then a second onsite with some important people who couldn't make the first one. The first two were good vibes, everyone seemed chill and interested in me. But that third round? Total game changer. Made me see SteelHouse differently, and now I get what people mean about the culture being cliquey and immature. It was me and two interviewers, a guy and a girl, and they were totally flirting the whole time. I felt like a third wheel on my own interview, it was super awkward and threw me off. Glad to be done, so no shock when the recruiter called the next day saying they wanted someone 'with more experience.'
- Can you share your previous salary history?
Campaign Manager
The interview process was really smooth. I had a phone interview and then two in-person ones. Everyone was super welcoming and easy to talk to, making it feel more like a chat than a stressful interview. The interviewers asked great, insightful questions and were clearly well-prepared. I actually enjoyed the whole thing! There was great communication throughout, and I always knew where I stood in the process.
- Can you tell me about your greatest strength?
- What do you consider your greatest weakness?
- Could you share an example of a time when you overcame a challenge?
Project Manager
It was a really good interview process, over two weeks. First, I had a phone screen. Then a call with the hiring manager. After that, an in-office interview with future teammates. Then, a Facetime call with a VP. Finally, the VP of hiring called me on a Friday evening to give me the job offer. Every part of it was important. Some interviews were easier, like talking about my resume, while others involved answering specific, direct questions for this PM role. The in-office part was mainly to check if I was a good culture fit. They really value culture here - everyone is young, smart, capable, and driven with a hard work/play hard mentality. I definitely recommend it!
- How do you handle saying no to requests from your peers?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was quick and seamless – the recruiters are fast paced, but you can tell that they care about finding people that will add to SteelHouse culture and will bring strong sales skillsets. The interviews with the team leaders were great – conversational, but also want a good understanding of your sales experience so far. They did a great job of describing the role, answering my questions, and giving me a sense of SteelHouse culture.
- What are you passionate about outside of work?
