First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Steel River Marketing.
Marketing and Business Communications
I applied for a job and heard back within a day. They were really flexible and helpful in setting up an interview time, which was great because I was in school and lived about an hour away. I ended up going in for two interviews. The first one was a quick chat with a hiring manager where we talked about my resume, the company's setup, and what the job involves. Then, I met with the CEO for the second interview, and we went over the job expectations in more detail. He was happy to answer all my questions and was upfront about the role. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable even though I was nervous. It was a good indicator of how they treat everyone on the team.

- What are your aspirations for your time here?
Management Trainer
Applied online and really enjoyed the interview process. The hiring manager was very passionate about the company's growth and the CEO even shook my hand and spoke with me in the lobby. Steel River Marketing has a good company culture and lots of advancement opportunities.
- What are your goals for joining this company?
Marketing Associate
The whole thing went by really fast. It wasn't quite what I wanted for my first job after college because I didn't want to do sales in stores. They did offer me the job, but they didn't want to give me much time to decide. So I felt rushed to accept immediately, but in the end, I decided against it.
- Are you open to relocating?
Sales Representative
Applied and got contacted the next day. Came in the following day after the call for 3 rounds. First was with the hiring manager discussing my goals, what I am looking to get out of a company, and the opportunities at Steel River Marketing. He thought I was a great fit and invited me back the next day. Second round was with a corporate trainer, who was really nice. He asked about my strengths and weaknesses, explained the company structure, hours, pay, and growth opportunities, and answered my questions. We discussed where I see myself, why I'd be a good fit, and my expectations. This took 30 min. They brought me back to the lobby to wait for the third round, which I thought was nice. Third round was with the owner, Sean, who is a really nice, easy-going guy. We got to know each other, I asked questions, and we joked around. He offered me the position, and I accepted immediately.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- Where do you envision your career path within this company?
- Can you share an example of a time you demonstrated strong leadership?
